How It Works
Students in the work-study program will work at your company while completing their final year in high school. You have the opportunity to work with the student and then opt to hire the student after graduation.
Your company can start saving money from Affirmative Recruiting Initiative (ARI) by following five simple steps:
- Go to the MM SHRM job pledge website, www.jobpledge.com, and post a work-study job or: Call our Job Pledge coordinator at (414) 274-6660.
- An ARI specialist will contact you within 48 hours.
- Screened student candidates who match your selection criteria will be referred to you.
- Once you make a selection, your new employee will first work under the work-study program, with support from ARI transition specialists.
- When the student graduates, you can choose to hire the student full-time.
